PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cleanability to solve a problem in a suction type range hood where oily smoke in cooking can not be completely catched by a filter and attached to a fan, and its cleaning is troublesome. SOLUTION: This range hood has the fan 2 driven by a motor 1, a hood 3 for collecting the oily smoke, and the filter 4 for collecting the oily smoke. The air is sucked by the fan 2 from the hood 3 through the filter 4, and an oily smoke recovering means is mounted on a suction opening of the hood 3 to recover the oily smoke by swirling the sucked air.
