PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturizable ice crusher and a refrigerator, capable of easily providing ice of a reasonable size without requiring a complicated transfer mechanism, and carrying out recovery by itself even when a motor gets locked. SOLUTION: The ice crusher 1 has at least one pair of blades (a rotary blade 9a and a stationary blade 10a), and at least one blade (the rotary blade 9a) of the pair of blades is driven to crush ice. It is characterized by that the one blade (the rotary blade 9a) is supported so it can swivel around a spindle 2, and a first opening 11 opened at least in a swivel locus of the one blade (the rotary blade 9a) in a direction of the spindle 2 is provided for ejecting crushed ice.
