PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wild strain yeast extract useful as a cosmetics raw material. SOLUTION: The yeast extract for cosmetics material is prepared by cultivating a yeast in a medium containing glutamic acid, cysteine, and glycine with high contents and then immediately extracting with an extraction liquid containing a polyhydric alcohol without performing digestion with an enzyme in bacteria cells or with protease. The contents of glutamic acid, cysteine, and glycine are each preferably 0.1-0.5 mass% based on the total amount of the medium. The polyhydric alcohol is preferably glycerin. 1,3-Butanediol is preferably added after the extraction. The yeast is preferably one of Saccharomyces cerevisiae separated from the pericarp of grape fruits. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
