PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electroconductive Pb-free joining member used for fixing spacers for a display panel of an image display device. SOLUTION: The electroconductive joining member is obtained by incorporating one or more kinds of metal particles comprising any of Pt, Pd, Cr, Ni, Al, Si, Zn, Au and Fe-Ni alloy and electroconductive ceramic particles into glass containing V2O5as a main component. The electroconductive ceramic particles are of TiC, SiC, WC, ZnO, Fe2O3, FeO or Fe3O4. The content of the metal particles or the electroconductive ceramic particles is 10-50 vol.%.
