The present invention relates to expression cassettes comprising transcription regulating nucleotide sequences with seed-preferential or seed-specific expression profiles in plants obtainable from the Arabidopsis thaliana gene described by the locus At3g02610. The transcription regulating nucleotide sequences preferably exhibit strong expression activity especially in seeds and seed tissues.
