The device has association neural pools (130, 230) determining associations between specifications of characteristics of information, such that the pools are connected with two inactive input neural pools (110, 210) over two connections with weights. The weights of the connections lie within limits, which are determined by assistance of mean-field-approximation adapted to the neural network. An independent claim is included for a method for determining associations between information on the basis of a neutral network.
