The method involves directing smooth air flow to printing ink for evaporation of the moist water from the printing ink, where air flow is formed of purified, dry compressed air. Air of the flow is produced regarding its moisture content, pressure and temperature. Air flow expansion is adjustable at a width or partial width of the roller of an inking system (3) that consists of a color tool that is filled with the printing ink. An independent claim is also included for a device for removing excess moist water from a printing ink found in an inking system of a printing machine.
