The switch has a gallium arsenide field effect transistor with which a control DC voltage is switchable between a positive and a negative. The voltage is supplied to a gate connection (G) over a gate resistor arranged with parallel capacitors. A diode (D) arranged between the capacitors and a reference potential is polarized such that the diode is closed and conductive during positive and negative control DC voltages, respectively.
