The vehicle has a rear bench seat with backrest (5) which can move from a first position for normal use into a second position in which a cargo space (2a) is provided underneath the backrest. The backrest can be raised up about a first hinged axis (41) which lies close to the upper edge (5a) of the backrest. The backrest can be moved from the second position to a third position in which the cargo space is accessible from the passenger cabin. The seat cushion (4) of the back seat can be moved into a loading position where it stands upright behind the backrest of the front seat.
