<p>A valve gear of an engine, wherein a camshaft (36) is pivotally supported through a bearing (41) on a cylinder head (5) in which an intake valve (29i) and an exhaust valve (29e) are installed, and an intake rocker arm (38i) and an exhaust rocker arm (38e) continuously connecting the camshaft (36) to the intake valve (29i) and the camshaft (36) to the exhaust valve (29e) are mounted on a rocker arm shaft (42) supported on the cylinder head (5) parallel with the camshaft (36). A fixing bolt (44) is threaded into the cylinder head (5) to constrain the movement of the rocker arm shaft (42) in the thrust direction by abutting it on the end part of the rocker arm shaft (42). A flange seat (44a) is integrally formed with the fixing bolt (44) to constraint the movement of the bearing (41) in the thrust direction by abutting it on one side face of the bearing. As a result, the compact valve gear of the engine can be provided by sharing the means for constraining the movements of the camshaft and the rocker arm shaft in the thrust direction to reduce the number of parts and simplify the structure.</p> |
