An image forming device is provided to decline an axial supporting position of a belt element from an image bearing element by using rollers engaged with the belt element via protrusions and coupling grooves, thereby realizing stable running of the belt element. An image forming device includes a belt element(34) suspended by at least two rollers(30,32), and formed with protrusions on an inner surface of an end in a width direction of the belt element, wherein the protrusions(54) are formed in a running direction of the belt. The rollers are formed with coupling parts(56) at end parts to be coupled with the protrusions of the belt. One of the rollers supports the other end of the belt element in the width direction, wherein this roller supports the belt in declination in a direction for making the end of the belt element apart from an image bearing element.
