<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a wire harness having workability, simplicity and high efficiency, without having to prepare a dedicated wiring board for each product serial number of wire harnesses. <P>SOLUTION: A harness forming device 1 and 71 is provided with a plurality of Y-direction rails 3, arranged parallel to frames 2 and 67 and freely movable along an X-direction rail 10, harness support jigs 4 and 34 slidably engaged with each of the Y-direction rails, and Y-direction drive means 30, 59, 60 and 61 for each of the harness support jigs. The harness forming device is provided with X-direction drive means 16 for the plurality of Y-direction rails 3.
