<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device capable of reproducing a hologram more appropriately than heretofore by varying the volume of the recorded hologram according to the light intensity of reproduction reference light, especially, when the reproduction reference light varies in light intensity with wavelength, and to provide a recording medium, a method for manufacturing the recording medium, and a reproducing device. <P>SOLUTION: The volume of the hologram is made small to V2 for recording with a wavelength λ3 at which the light intensity of the reproduction reference light becomes higher, and varied to V1 larger than V2 for recording with a wavelength λ6 at which the light intensity of the reproduction reference light is lower than at the wavelength λ3.
