摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a white semiconductor light emitting element in which external quantum efficiency can be enhanced by applying resin containing a luminescent color transformation member directly to an LED chip such that a red or green luminescent color transformation member is not mixed, and to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: An LED chip 2 emitting blue light is mounted on an insulating substrate 1 having a pair of electrode films 11 and 12 at both side, and a pair of electrodes of the LED chip 2 are electrically connected with the pair of electrode films 11 and 12, respectively, by a connecting means 3. The periphery of the LED chip 2 and the connecting means 3 is coated with mold resin mixed with a member 4a for transforming blue light emitted from the LED chip 2 into red light and a first resin layer 4 is formed. The periphery of the first resin layer 4 is coated with mold resin mixed with a member 5a for transforming blue light emitted from the LED chip 2 into green light and a second resin layer 5 is formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
