<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly select and adjust functions while monitoring a menu selection screen. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic instrument 1 comprises an OSD section 4 for preparing or retaining the menu selection screen in which each menu item is arranged to select or adjust a function or characteristic of the electronic instrument for each direction among a plurality of directions from the center to an outer periphery of a displayed screen of a display device 6, and an eight-direction joy stick type operation key in a remote control key 11, which has a plurality of operational directions capable of designating menu items by one operation in response to arrangement directions and the number of the menu items in the menu selection screen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
