PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gateway device capable of reducing a communication traffic to reduce a burden applied onto a system, by selecting a communication system to a controller in response to a kind of a request from the controller. SOLUTION: This gateway device is provided with a state information holding means 62 for updating and holding sequentially pieces of state information for a plurality of air conditioners 20, a transmission means 66 for the state information corresponding to the reference request from one of the plurality of controllers, to the plurality of controllers, at the same time, and a reply means 68 for replying the reception of a change request, only to the controller transmitting the request of changing the state information of the air conditioner 20 transmitted from one of the plurality of controllers.
