PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance safety in operation of the authentication system of a wireless communication terminal. SOLUTION: The authentication system comprises a wireless communication terminal, and a base station performing wireless communication with the wireless communication terminal. The wireless communication terminal comprises a sensor, a terminal side transceiver section for transmitting/receiving information to/from the base station, a terminal side authentication section performing authentication processing with the base station, and a terminal side recording section for recording disposable authentication information. The base station comprises a base station side transceiver section for transmitting/receiving information to/from the wireless communication terminal, and a base station side authentication section performing authentication processing with the wireless communication terminal. The terminal side recording section records a plurality of pieces of disposable authentication information, the terminal side transceiver section transmits one of the plurality of pieces of disposable authentication information to the base station and sets that disposable authentication information as invalid, and the base station performs authentication by using the one disposable authentication information thus received.
