PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a fill-in-the-blank question provided with a blank in one of places of products in multiplication including at least one or more of factors of two or more digits. SOLUTION: The electronic computer makes computation on the basis of the program inputted with the rule of the compression number. The rule of the compression number is the rule that the one digit compression number of the product of the compression number and factor obtained by multiplying each one digit compression number of each of the two or more digit factors or the one digit factor turns to the same value as the one digit compression number of the product of original factors obtained by multiplying the original factors as they are when the addition of the number of the respective places is defined as the compression number, the value obtained by performing the compression computation as the compression number, and the value obtained by performing the compression computation many times until the compression number of the two or more digits attains the one digit as the one digit compression number.
