PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing roll having high durability because rubber degradation is hardly caused in silicone rubber layers even if the nip width between rolls increases and the temperature of a toner fixing portion rises. SOLUTION: The fixing roll has a first silicone rubber layer (inner layer) on the periphery of a roll shaft, a second silicone rubber layer (outer layer) on the outside of the first silicone rubber layer, and a surface layer comprising a fluorocarbon resin on the outside of the second silicone rubber layer, wherein the silicone rubber inner layer has a higher hardness than the silicone rubber outer layer.
