PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera device which can balance temperature difference and humidity difference between the inside of the case and the open air for preventing dew condensation in the inside of the case. SOLUTION: This camera device has a vent 7P formed in the wall of the case 7 substantially above and/or below the CCD substrate 4 provided in the case 7 and incorporates a material (e.g. boafluon:(R)) 6 which cuts off water in the open air that allows passing the moisture to pass. Thus, the temperature difference and the humidity difference can be balanced with the outside air through the vent 7P. Since the vent 7P is provided near the CCD substrate 4, it can also play the role of radiating the heat of the substrate 4. Furthermore, since the material 6 has the function shielding against the outside water, such as raindrops, the camera can be protected from having its functions deteriorate due to the water entering it.
