PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of enhancing the steering stability without impairing the rim assemblability. SOLUTION: In the pneumatic tire, a bead apex rubber 8 comprises a sub part 11 extending inwardly in the tire radial direction along an outer side surface So of the tire axial direction of a bead core 5, and a main part 12 integrally continuous to the sub part and extending in a tapered manner outwardly in the tire radial direction with a reference surface consisting of an outer surface in the radial direction of the sub part 11 and an outer surface Su in the tire radial direction of the bead core 5 as a bottom ridge X.
