The invention relates to a rotor (2) comprising a fan wheel (4), especially used as an outer rotor for an electronically commutated electric motor. Said rotor comprises a rotor body (6) that is connected to a rotor shaft by means of a shaft socket (10) and comprises magnetic segments on the inner side thereof, said magnetic segments being surrounded by a return ring. The rotor also comprises fan blades (12) on the outer side thereof. The magnetic segments are pre-mounted on the return ring and, together with the shaft socket, are surrounded by a single-component plastic sheath (3) that also forms the fan wheel (4) with the rotor body (6) and fan blades (12).
