The adapter has a test signal terminal (12) connected with a limit-request interface of a microcomputer, and a switching terminal detecting a peripheral device or a test module. A conversion unit (30) connects a transmission terminal and the test signal terminal, in such a manner that the test module executes a limit-request test on the microcomputer. The conversion unit includes a logical circuit connected with a switching terminal and a transmission circuit for converting electrical potential of the switching terminal into a digital control signal for controlling the transmission circuit.
