FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves removing defectively developed enamel to visually detectable healthy enamel boundary and covering the region with restoration material. To determine boundary of cavity under restoration, electric conductivity of enamel is measured in intact zone, in enamel defect zone and on visually detected boundary. Then, electric conductivity is measured point-by-point in moving from the visually detected boundary towards healthy enamel with 1 mm long steps to reach healthy enamel electric conductivity values. These points are considered to be the real boundary of healthy enamel zone to be taken as the boundary of cavity under restoration. ^ EFFECT: improved restoration quality; prolonged service period. ^ 1 dwg, 1 tbl
