A resonance circuit is composed of a capacitor Cs of a ferroelectric layer of a recording medium, and a resonator. A change of the capacitor Cs of the ferroelectric layer is converted into a frequency of an oscillation signal by the resonance circuit. As the resonator, a resonance element having a high Q, such as an SAW resonator, is used.
