A mold for a pneumatic radial tire is provided to restrict leak of rubber between a tread of a segment mold and a side parting part, and to prevent crack of the parting part by engaging a projection with a groove in a parting surface of a tread mold and a side mold. A mold for a pneumatic radial tire includes a tread mold(100) and a side mold(200) placed in a lower part of the tread mold. A groove and a projection are formed in a parting surface of the tread mold and the side mold, and the groove is engaged with the projection. The groove and the projection are formed semi-circularly, and a side parting line(300) is curved in contacting the tread mold to the side mold. The radius of the groove or the projection is formed to be within the range of 3 to 5 mm to prevent leak of rubber between the tread mold and the side mold.
