A multimedia displaying apparatus is provided to output a file, stored in a nonvolatile storage apparatus, as a text on a screen and read the text for a viewer, thereby enabling a user, who has bad vision and hearing, to learn contents of the text file through a large screen and the sound of a speaker. A multimedia displaying apparatus comprises the followings: a nonvolatile storage apparatus(10); a text-video converter(20) which converts a text file, stored in the nonvolatile storage apparatus(10), into a video signal and outputs it; a text-audio converter(30) which converts the text file, stored in the nonvolatile storage apparatus(10), into an audio signal and outputs it; a screen displaying part(25) which outputs the video image, outputted in the text-video converter(20), on a screen; and a sound outputting part(35) which outputs the audio signal, outputted in the text-audio converter(30), as a vocal sound.
