A trolley includes an open-topped wetting receptacle 4 for receiving a cleaning tool such as a mop 5 and a liquid-storage chamber 11 disposed above said open top. A manually operable liquid dispensing device 14 is provided for dispensing a measured quantity of liquid from the liquid-storage chamber 11 into the wetting receptacle 4 by manual operation of a trigger (21, fig 2). The device 14 includes a metering chamber (22, fig 2) a dispensing valve member (20, fig 2) for controlling the supply of liquid from the metering chamber (22, fig 2) to the wetting receptacle 4, and a filling valve member (31, fig 2) for controlling the flow of liquid from the liquid-storage chamber 11 to the metering chamber (22, fig 2). A float valve (46, fig 3) admits air to the metering chamber (22, fig 2) for rapid emptying, and a control drum 23 can be adjusted to accurately determine the volume of liquid dispensed. |
