FIELD: production of smoking tobacco articles. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves gathering wastes in the process of mixing and forming smoking article from resultant mix; extracting wastes using liquid saturated hydrocarbon comprising up to 4 carbon atoms in molecule; separating miscella; producing at least part of swollen vein by moistening it; impregnating with separated miscella and simultaneously increasing pressure; reducing pressure to atmospheric pressure value and drying. ^ EFFECT: increased efficiency in producing of smoking article with reduced content of resin and nicotine without deteriorating its organoleptical properties.
