FIELD: the invention refers to electrical prospecting on an alternate current excited in the ground with inductive method and may be used at searching anomalous objects in the ground laying at the depths to 500 meters. ^ SUBSTANCE: the essence is in passing low frequency current in a ungrounded noose. The phase shifts are measured on each profile &phis;p(l)=&phis;rho(l)+&phis;0, where &phis;rho(l) and &phis;0 are correspondingly phase shift conditioned by electrical conductivity of rocks and a constant but unknown phase shift. Specific resistance rho0 is defined for which functional where l,l1,l2- correspondingly current, of the beginning and the end of the profile l0=(l1+l2)/2; &phis;p(l0), &phis;th(1), &phis;th(l0)- correspondingly phase shift measured in the point l0, theoretical for homogeneous half-space, theoretical in the point l0. Phase shifts &phis;rho(1) of Cartesian components of magnetic induction relatively to the current in the ungrounded noose out of expression &phis;rho(1)= &phis;p(1)-&phis;p(l0)+ &phis;rho0(10).
