Carriage of a fitting for lifting and sliding doors or windows and a fitting with such a carriage

Running gear for a sliding door or window has the door/window frame (1) supported at each end by a wheeled support (5, 6). Each wheeled support has a height adjusting connection to the underside of the frame and the two supports are linked by a compact cross section connecting rod (22) located in a narrow groove in the underside of the frame. The rod cross section has similar width to height, e.g. it can be circular. The lifting and lowering control is via a crank lever (14) at one end of the system.
