A laser scanning apparatus and a tandum-type image forming apparatus with the same are provided to enable a beam separator to separate deflected laser beams scanned on the surface of plural photosensitive drums after passing ftheta lens, thereby increasing the interval of the laser beams for easily separating the laser beams with a general reflecting mirror even when the plurality of minutely close laser beams is induced. A laser scanning apparatus comprises the followings: a light source(110) which emits plural laser beams(1); a rotary polygon mirror(120) which deflects a direction of the plural laser beams(1) in a predetermined direction; ftheta lens(140) which passes the deflected laser beams(LD1,LD2,LD3,LD4) to be scanned on the surface of plural photosensitive drums; and a beam separator(100) which is located at the rear end of the ftheta lens(140) and separates the laser beams(1). The beam separator(100) has a structure that media, which have different indexes of refraction, are overlapped so as for the plural laser beams(1) to be separated in a vertical direction(sub-scanning direction).
