When a file system control unit (155A) writes file data into a main storage memory (142), by writing the file data and a directory entry in different allocation units, it is possible to easily write files continuously and reduce the number of copying times of the file upon update of the directory entry. Thus, even when using a nonvolatile memory having a physical block size as an erase unit greater than a cluster size, it is possible to improve the write-in performance.
