A PVR(Personal Video Recorder) is provided to process huge streams without deteriorating PVR performance when the huge streams are stored or reproduced in real time, thereby increasing an input/output throughput during hard disk accessing and improving the access speed for a hard disk. A memory device(20) temporarily stores stream data to be inputted to a PVR. A hard disk(60) stores stream data to be outputted from the PVR. A cache memory(200) temporarily stores the stream data temporarily stored in the memory device(20) before inputting the data to the hard disk(60), or temporarily stores the stream data stored in the hard disk(60) before outputting the data to the memory device(20). A cache memory controller manages operation of the cache memory(200) for an input/output request of the stream data for the cache memory(200).
