A method for providing a notification message in a mobile communication terminal is provided to transmit a guide message of notifying that a recording function is activated to the terminal of the other party when the recording function is operated during a call, thereby preventing a person's privacy, which can be occurred by popularization of the recording function, from being violated. A method for providing a notification message in a mobile communication terminal comprises the following steps of: checking whether a specific function key is inputted during a call(201,205); and performing a specific function and transmitting a message for notifying that the specific function is operated to the terminal of the other party(205~209). The specific function key is a recording function key. The alarm message is a message pre-stored in a memory as a form of an audio file format.
