FAST DATA-LINK CONNECTION METHOD FOR SAVING CONNECTION TIME IN CDMA 2000 NETWORK

A fast speed data call access method for shortening access time in a CDMA2000 network is provided to improve a connection success rate by deleting unnecessary procedures among existing PPP negotiation procedures and minimizing the number of messages, required in a call connection process. A PDSN(Packet Data Serving Node) transmits an FDCP(Fast Data-Link Connection Protocol) request message to an MS(Mobile Station) as an initial message(S101). Receiving the FDCP request message, the MS transmits an FDCP Ack message to the PDSN(S103). The PDSN executes authentication for the MS, based on an authentication request option contained in the FDCP Ack message transmitted from the MS. If authentication is successful, the PDSN transmits an FDCP complete message to the MS(S105).
