IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING DOCUMENT IN E-MAIL

An image forming device capable of transmitting an email and a method for transmitting the email with the same are provided to enable a user to selectively transmit scanned documents without manually extracting pages. An image selector(130) displays generated images to the user and receives selection for the desired images from the user. An email transmitter(120) transmits the selected images as the email. An image size converter(140) receives and converts the document images generated from an image generator(110) into thumbnail images. The image selector includes a display part(132) displaying the thumbnail images to the user and a selection panel(134) for enabling the user to select the desired images among the displayed thumbnail images. An image transmitter(150) transmits the thumbnail images to a PC(300) connected to the image forming device. A selection information receiver(160) receives selection information for the document images selected by the user from the PC.
