A DMB transceiver is provided to improve error correction capability of DMB by applying a turbo code encoder and a turbo code decoder to the DMB transceiver, thereby providing stable and high quality digital broadcasting. A DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) transceiver comprises the followings: an MPEG(Moving Picture Experts Group) encoder(310) for encoding an inputted broadcast data stream; an MPEG multiplexer(320) for multiplexing a broadcast data stream outputted from the MPEG encoder(310); a turbo code encoder(330) for performing error correction encoding and interleaving on a broadcast data stream outputted from the MPEG multiplexer(320); and a transmitter(340) for transmitting a broadcast data stream outputted from the turbo code encoder(330).
