METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING APPLICATION DOWNLOAD BY USING MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL EQUIPPED WITH CODE SIGNING MODULE

A method and a system for controlling application download by using a mobile terminal equipped with a code signing module are provided to check a policy of a mobile telecommunication company through the mobile network and authenticate signature with the code signing module when an application is downloaded to the mobile terminal equipped with the code signing module. A policy management server(220) informs the mobile terminal(100) of update of a security policy installed to the mobile terminal by the mobile network(210) and downloads the security policy to the mobile terminal in case that the updated security policy is present. Each content providing server(240) stores diverse kinds of applications provided to the mobile terminal from the mobile telecommunication company. The policy management server stores the security policy of the mobile telecommunication company for the applications provided from the content providing company and the mobile telecommunication company.
