A projection TV apparatus is provided to control an image displayed at the outside of a screen toward the rotation direction by means of a simple construction. A red light beam irradiated from an illumination member(12) to an image forming member(14) passes through the first beam splitter and is irradiated to a red LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) unit(1402R). The green and blue light beams are also modulated and guided like the red light beam. Thereafter, the irradiated light beam is modulated and guided into a cross dichroic prism(1420). Three kinds of light beams guided to the cross dichroic prism is mixed with a single projection light beam by the cross dichroic prism. The image projection light beam is transmitted to an incidence lens(17). A reflection mirror(16) is inclined with an angle of 45 degrees against an optical shaft of the incidence lens.
