An LCD is provided to uniformly diffuse a light emitted from light sources, thereby improving the distribution of brightness, by forming a diffusing plate to have protrusions partially wrapping the light sources. An LCD panel(20) is configured to display an image. One or more light sources(40) are disposed on a rear surface of the LCD panel and supply light to the LCD panel. A diffusing plate(33) is disposed between the LCD panel and the light sources, wherein the diffusing plate has protrusions, which partially wrap the light sources. The diffusing plate includes a base plate(330) and a diffusing layer, in which a plurality of diffusing particles are dispersed, deposited on the base plate.
