An electronic apparatus and a control method thereof are provided to block an error due to over voltage by automatically blocking the over voltage. In an electronic apparatus, a switching unit(200) controls AC power. A control unit(300) controls the switching unit(200) to block the AC power in case a voltage level of the AC power exceeds a predetermined maximum level of voltage.
