An automatic transmission for a vehicle is provided to allow an unmanned vehicle to move forward and backward and to shift gear according to the geography by installing a servo-motor connected to a transfer bar. An automatic transmission for a vehicle comprises a pair of side fixing plates(20a,20b) formed with a guide groove(21) fixed in parallel to each other at a predetermined gap; a transfer bar(30) installed in between a pair of side fixing plates and formed with a projection unit(33) inserted in the guide groove of the side fixing plate and a rack type thread unit(31) on a curved inside diameter surface; a servo-motor(40) having a gear unit(42) interlocked with the thread; a linkage(32) linked at a end of the transfer bar and freely folded when controlling the length of the transfer bar; and a change lever connection hole(38) combined to one end of the linkage.
