PRODUCTION METHOD OF ETHYLENE CARBONATE USING LOOP REACTOR

Provided is a method for preparing ethylene carbonate using a loop reactor, whereby highly pure ethylene carbonate is produced in high yield under the safer reaction condition. In a method for reacting ethylene oxide with carbon dioxide to prepare ethylene carbonate using a loop reactor(10) equipped with an ejector(20), the preparation method consists of: circulating a mixture of ethylene carbonate and ethylene oxide from the bottom to the top of the reactor(10) and ejecting the mixture into the reactor(10) through the ejector(20); ejecting carbon dioxide introduced through a carbon dioxide supply pipe(17) and unreacted carbon dioxide sucked by negative pressure, into the reactor(10) in the form of fine bubbles through an ejector nozzle, wherein the carbon dioxide supply pipe(17) has a fluid control valve(18) and is united to the upper part of the ejector(20), and the negative pressure is formed around an ejector nozzle by ejection of the mixture of ethylene carbonate and ethylene oxide; and preparing ethylene carbonate by bringing the carbon dioxide fine bubbles into contact with ethylene oxide dissolved in the ethylene carbonate.
