METHOD OF CREATING PLAYBACK CONTROL FILE FOR RECORDING MEDIUM AND METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REPRODUCING DATA USING THE PLAYBACK CONTROL FILE

A playback control file generation method for a recording medium, a recording medium reproducing method, and a reproducing device are provided to manage and reproduce a composite playlist file of a high-density optical disk, thereby reproducing a signal recorded within a BD(Blu-ray Disk) together with a signal downloadable from an external source. An original playlist which includes at least more than one original playitem configured to reproduce original data recorded within a recording medium is read from the recording medium. At least more than one additional playitem configured to reproduce additional data downloadable from an external source is downloaded from the external source. In order to individually or compositely reproduce the original data and the additional data, a new playlist which synthesizes the original playlist with the at least more than one additional playitem is generated.
