A broadcasting receiving apparatus and a broadcasting receiving method are provided to reduce the noise of the signal amplified by an LNA(Low Noise Amplitude) through the control of sharpness, thereby allowing user to watch the image with excellent quality. An LNA(210) reduces and outputs the noise of the signal received through an antenna(205). A tuner(220) tunes and outputs the desired channel signal among the received signals. A filter(230) passes and outputs only the specific band of the tuned signal. An intermediate frequency signal processing member(240) amplifies and outputs the output signal of the filter. A chroma IC(Integrated Circuit)(280) varies the sharpness of the RGB image signal by the control of a control member(260).
