摘要 A method and an apparatus for generating an internal voltage are provided to supply a stable source voltage to a memory device during a test process by preventing the source voltage from being changed due to temperature and an operation voltage. An apparatus for generating an internal voltage includes a reference voltage generator, an internal voltage divider(30), and a comparator(40). The reference voltage generator divides a first reference voltage and outputs one of the divided voltages as a second reference voltage according to a control signal. The internal voltage divider divides the internal voltage at a predetermined ratio and outputs the result. The comparator compares the output voltage from the internal voltage divider with the second reference voltage and activates an oscillation enable signal for pumping up the internal voltage according to the compared result. The reference voltage generator includes a reference voltage divider(10) and a reference voltage selector(20). The reference voltage divider divides the first reference voltage at different ratios. The reference voltage selector outputs one of the outputs from the reference voltage divider as the second reference voltage according to the control signal.
