A method and an apparatus of controlling for charging/discharging voltage of a battery are provided to prevent sudden deterioration of battery performance due to over charge and over discharge of a battery cell by controlling output of a battery pack on the basis of a battery cell with low performance. A method of controlling for charging/discharging voltage of a battery includes the steps of: presuming maximum output of a battery(202); measuring voltage of a battery cell or a pack(204); checking whether the voltage of the battery cell or the pack is out of a predetermined limitation range to correspond to the maximum output(206); and controlling charging or discharging output of the battery when the voltage of the battery cell or the pack is out of the predetermined limitation range(208).
