An apparatus and a method for measuring the liquid level using image information are provided to calculate the height of the liquid level by recognizing a screen surface curve from image data. An apparatus for measuring the liquid level using image information includes a memory(123), an image data receiving section(121), an image recognizing section(1251), and a liquid level calculating section(1253). The number of pixels from the lowest point of a screen to the vertical direction is calculated from a still image input from the image recognizing section. The actual liquid level is calculated using the number of pixels and reference information stored in the memory. |
