Provided are an organic electrolytic solution and a lithium battery containing the same, which relatively inhibit reductive decomposition of polar solvent, thus reduce irreversible capacity in the first cycle and improve a charge and discharge efficiency and a long-term lifespan of batteries. The organic electrolytic solution comprises a lithium salt, an organic solvent containing a solvent with high dielectric constant and a solvent with a low boiling point, and a compound represented by the following formula 1. In the formula, each of R1 and R2 independently represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a hydroxyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-20 alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-20 alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-20 alkenyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C6-30 aryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C6-30 aryloxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted C2-30 heteroaryl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted C2-30 heteroaryloxy group, each of R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, and R8 independently represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a hydroxyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-20 alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-20 alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-20 alkenyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C6-30 aryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C7-40 aralkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C6-30 aryloxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted C2-30 heteroaryl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted C2-30 heteroaryloxy group, and n is an integer of 0-4. |
